I am hereby submitting the OFFICIAL RESULTS of the 2008 CARIFETE competitions, on behalf of  the judges of this year’s event. It was the consensus of the judges that the artistry, bandleadership, costume designs, and musical selections all contributed to the spirit of carnival, in a manner which has been unprecedented in recent times.

 

Our various Caribbean communities and the City of Chicago have benefited immensely from the display of culture and diversity of which we are exemplary.
