Carnival production workshops

Each year, a new set of costumes is especially designed for the Chicago Carifete Carnival. Preparations begin each year in Summer, gathering pace over the fall and spring in the build up to the carnival at the beginning of August.

Costume production is a highly collaborative process and a great opportunity to gain a unique insight into the process from cloth to carnival. From sewing and surface decoration to foam cutting and wire frame constructing, the workshops are open to anyone interested in adding a bit of colour to their lives!

There's lots of fun to be had for all! No previous experience is necessary but all related skills are very welcome. It's a great way to meet new people and develop new skills

Workshops take place regularly at evenings and weekends at our workshop in Chicaga

If you would like to get involved, please contact Sherilee Gardiner our Wardrobe Mestre: gardiner_s@msn.com
